I’m Yours Maddy – MC Showroom, Melbourne, Australia
Come along with Maddy, a distinguished young Melbourne Performer and Choreographer, in this hour long Burlesque Comedy Cabaret. I’M YOURS, MADDY is a risqué, poetic and sometimes crass love letter to Sex and Dating. Through the old fashioned lens of swing music and burlesque Maddy explores modern issues around woman’s rights, sexual health and taboo social issues. A feminist take on sex that proves that orgasms are not just for men anymore, and will have you screaming, and sometimes squirming, for more.

I'm Yours, Maddy (MC Showroom) -AI Transcript

[00:00:00] Alex First: Maddie Pratt loves sex. She loves, loves, loves sex. So it only makes sense that she'd pin an ode to her favorite pastime. She's wild and kinky too, but woe betide anyone who thinks she's alive. Mike, no mistake while her one woman show with accompanying pianists, Ashton Turner is risque and heaps of fun.

It also carries a critically important and serious message that has to do with fairness, equality, and respect. Maddie tells her story her way, buxom, she dresses tantalizingly in alluring red and disrobe to a point during the show to reveal red bra. Before a cheeky final reveal. She talks about her disappointments, dislikes and missteps.

When it comes to her experiences and choices, she discusses men's heavy handed approach to a number of her encounters. And slut-shaming Maddy reveals. She came out as bisexual, but finds it much more difficult to law. The same sex. She peppers her body stories with appropriate songs. And at one point involves an audience member in sexual positioning.

Maddie does not hold back. Her language is decidedly fruity, not for the faint hearted, but more than halfway through the show pivots to the way society treats women and female sexual. She gives us facts and relates to contemporary events, revealing a couple of deeply personal traumatic episodes in her life.

On stage for an hour, Maddie is bold and fearless. A woman of substance who needs to be heard, Helen Reddy put it best in her Anthem. I am woman. So too is Maddie Pratt. You can be sure of. I'm yours. Maddie is playing at MC showroom in parade in Melbourne until the 13th of February, 2022.
