Love/Chamberlain (Theatre Works, Melbourne Australia) Courtney Love and Lindy Chamberlain cross paths on a remote highway somewhere in Australia, seeking an elusive Oracle. An unlikely connection ensues, sliding in and out of time with cosmic reverberations of grief and loss.  A series of chance encounters unfold. These extremely different public figures, villified within their own time, meet each other after the disappearance of baby Azaria and in the ferment of rumour following Kurt Cobain’s death. Both women are unjustly accused of murder: Chamberlain in a law-court and Love in the seedy territory of conspiracy theorists and documentary movie-makers. Love/Chamberlain is a play about grief, public judgement and the demonisation of women. Can any woman ever go unscrutinised for her behaviour in the public eye? And why is it easier for people to believe a fanciful lie over the complicated truth of real experience? For more information visit http://www.theatreworks.org.au/program/love-chamberlain/Theatre First RSS feed: https://feeds.megaphone.fm/ivetheatrereviews  Subscribe, rate and review Theatre First at all good podcatcher apps, including Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes), Stitcher, Pocket Casts, CastBox.FM, Podbean, ACast etc.If you're enjoying Theatre First podcast, please share and tell your friends.
