Editing your own voice

Editing your own voice

What to leave and what to cut

These days editing your voice recordings is commonplace for voice talent who have their own studio. But if you are not completing the edit, how much should you take out of your recording? There's obvious stuff like the trip from the control room to the booth (if that's a thing for you) or coughs, phone calls and the like. But what about content?

In this quick bite, Robbo and AP discuss the ins and outs of being too zealous in your cleanup, and what the Engineer at the other end may be missing out on if you really go to town.

Here's the link to the Brad Pitt roast Robbo mentions in this episode.
