A new study suggests Oumuamua (oh-MOO-ah-MOO-ah) -- the first interstellar object discovered in the solar system – may be an interstellar comet rather than an asteroid.

 *Japan’s Hayabusa-2 reaches the unexplored asteroid Ryugu

After a journey lasting three and half years Japan’s Hayabusa-2 spacecraft has finally reached its target -- the kilometre wide near Earth asteroid 162173 Ryugu.

*Ariane 6 gets green light

The European Space Agency has given a green light to the latest design of the new Ariane 6 launch system. The 63 metre tall Ariane 6 will eventually replace the current Ariane 5 as Europe’s primary heavy lift launch system – providing the same lifting capacity at lower cost.
