The 710 kilogram Cartosat-2 Series spacecraft was launched aboard a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket together with 30 small satellite payloads. *Japan launches new Earth observation satellite Japan has launched an experimental radar imaging satellite aboard the third flight of its Epsilon rocket.
*The world’s smallest satellite launcher The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JAXA has used a modified sounding rocket to create the world’s smallest satellite launch vehicle.
*Third time lucky for Russia’s new cosmodrome Russia has successfully launched its third rocket from its new Vostochny cosmodrome in the country’s far east.
